This is a character analysis video, and it keeps the audience engaged by presenting unfamiliar aspects of familiar characters that the viewer likely hasn’t thought about before. This particular video keeps the viewer watching until the end by presenting the analysis as a story, and it keeps the viewer on the channel by demonstrating expertise on a topic they’re interested in.
No, Palpatine, That’s Not “Unlimited Power”: The Ultimate Goal of the Dark Side Explained
On top of being my best writing to date, in my opinion, this video has racked up a quarter of a million views in six months. It’s an analysis of the antagonists of a 2004 Star Wars video game and the perspective they provide on the philosophy of the franchise, and it’s a good demonstration of my ability to analyze and present complex philosophical concepts in a way that engages the audience.

Here we have a moderately long media analysis video, in this case covering four episodes of a television series. It works in much the same way as the character analysis video above did, driving engagement with the channel by presenting the viewer with new perspectives on a familiar topic.
